Unloading will be compensated if it qualifies for additional fees. Some unloading fees are already included in the rate.
Not all deliveries require signature, all deliveries should have pictures of the items delivered.
Drivers are required to complete deliveries directly to the customer’s door, including apartments unless a different location is listed in the notes. This includes carrying items up any steps, stairways, or walkways that lead to the door. Deliveries left at building entrances, lobbies, or mailrooms will not be considered complete.
If there are any issues or delays at delivery location, please contact the Frayt team.
Requirements and Best Practices for Submitting Proof of Delivery
Proof of delivery is a crucial part of the delivery process at FRAYT, ensuring that items are properly delivered and providing verification for customers and drivers. Below, you will find detailed requirements and best practices to meet proof of delivery standards.
Overview of Proof of Delivery Requirements
To complete a delivery, you must provide valid proof of delivery. The most common and effective method of proving delivery is by submitting clear and accurate photographs. In some cases where photography is not possible, alternative methods, like paperwork, can serve as proof.
Photo Documentation: The Primary Proof
Photographic evidence is required for most deliveries to ensure proper accountability and transparency. Follow these guidelines to provide photos that meet the necessary standards:
Take Photos at the Drop-off Location - The photos must clearly show the delivered items at the designated drop-off point. Avoid capturing only the items themselves without contextual clues of the location.
Incorporate Location Details - Ensure your photo captures parts of the delivery location, such as part of the door, address, or surroundings, to provide clear evidence that the items were delivered to the correct place.
Safe Place Deliveries - When leaving an order in a safe place, include photos showing the complete order in front of the secure location (e.g., door). Including the environment helps establish that the order was left in a safe and verifiable spot.
Additional Notes for Face-to-Face Deliveries - If the delivery is handed directly to the recipient, include a photo of the recipient holding the item or the item in its final location. Supplemental documentation, such as signed confirmation notes, can be added for clarity.
Ensure Quality Photos - Photos must be clear, properly lit, and taken from an angle that accurately shows the delivery setting. Poor-quality images may not serve as valid proof.
Documentation for Compensation - Photos are critical not only for confirming delivery completion but also for ensuring that payouts or compensation requests are not delayed. Without photo proof, compensation for completed deliveries might not be processed.
Alternative Proof Methods
In cases where taking photos may not be possible, alternative methods can still serve as valid proof of delivery:
Signed Paperwork - If photos are unavailable, ensure there is a signed document confirming the delivery. Include a photo of the paperwork showing signatures and drop-off details.
Document Delivery Details - Always attempt to provide a comprehensive description of the delivery circumstances, including any notes regarding the recipient’s availability or signed confirmations if applicable.
Troubleshooting Missing Proof of Delivery (POD)
If proof of delivery is incomplete or missing, follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Attempt Escalation Through FRAYT - Escalate the matter through the FRAYT support team to understand options for missing POD. Note that you may still need to submit a POD to fully resolve issues.
Contact the Customer (If Applicable) - In some cases, contacting the customer may clarify delivery status. However, this is a secondary step and does not substitute the submission of proper proof such as photos or paperwork.
Summary
Ensuring valid proof of delivery is a key responsibility for drivers and delivery personnel. Adhering to FRAYT’s guidelines for photo documentation and alternative proof ensures smooth order completion and enhances customer trust. Always aim for high-quality, precise photos and, when necessary, detailed supporting documentation to meet FRAYT’s proof of delivery standards.
